Prologue

May 14^th 2021

“The Aral Sea in Kazakhstan has been called the worst human made environmental disaster of all time. For the past twelve years the people of Kazakhstan have been trying to find ways to replenish portions of the Aral Sea. In recent months they have been terracing sections of the eastern bank in hopes of drawing additional rain runoff to the lakebed.  Yesterday, one of the workers on this project discovered an odd rock formation unearthed twelve feet below the soil line. Three oblong stones measuring eight to nine inches in length; fourteen to sixteen inches in circumference.  The stones almost perfect in symmetry.  Radiographic imagery has proven these stones are not stones at all, but fossilized dinosaur eggs that, amazingly, hold miraculously in tact embryos inside them.  Not the first to be found by far but the first to be found in such perfect condition.”

May 19^th 2021

“Another cluster of four dinosaur eggs have been found along the banks of the desecrated Aral Sea today, seventeen feet from the original three found five days ago.  In an adventive fund raising effort, the people of Kazakhstan have listed the two clusters of eggs on Ebay.  Yes, now you to can possess you’re very own fossilized dinosaur eggs.  That is if you can keep up with the bidding.  The auctions opened less than three hours ago with the opening bid on each cluster set at half a million US dollars.  At last check both auctions had exceeded the million dollar mark with all bids sealed.  The auctions will end at five p.m. eastern time on May 22^nd.  All proceeds from these auctions will go directly to the rehabilitation project of the Aral Sea.”

May 22^nd 2021

“The Ebay auctions for the two clusters of dinosaur eggs closed this evening after fierce and frenzied bidding.  The total for the two auctions brought over seven million dollars to the Aral Sea restoration project.  Didn’t get a chance to bid?  Don’t despair.  Three more clusters were found over the past two days containing a total of twelve eggs all containing intact fossilized embryos.  Auctions for these clusters began fifteen minutes following the close of the first two auctions.  So you still have a chance to own a priceless piece of Earths history.  Provided you can pay the price!”

May 25^th 2021

“Kazakhstan has reported that no more eggs have been found.  The auctions for the three clusters found May 21^st and 22^nd brought in a whopping thirteen million, two hundred and eighty thousand dollars for the Aral Sea restoration project.  Wow.  Congratulations to the new owners of these fantastical finds.”

        

September 19^th 2022

“Sixteen months ago several clusters of dinosaur eggs were found along the shore of the desecrated Aral Sea.  In a bold statement today, China announced the successful cloning of the species contained in one of the clusters of eggs.  China claims to have two living specimens now four months old.  Not to be outdone, Russia stepped up to announce they have produced three living specimens from the cluster of five eggs they procured.  Paleontologists have been unable to identify the species as of yet.  At only four months of age these winged reptiles are larger than an elephant.  All specimens are said to be female.  China emphatically states they are dragons but scientists around the globe are denigrating this statement, claiming no evidence has ever been procured to prove Dragons existed on Earth.”

June 14^th 2024

“In a press release today Russia announced the escape of all five of their Dragon clones. Refusing comment on how they escaped. We only know that human lives were lost but no official count has been released. Russia has announced they are hunting the creatures with intent to kill and has issued a mandatory twenty four hour curfew to the surrounding population.  We will keep you apprised of the situation in Russia as new information becomes available.”

January 27^th 2032

“We regret to inform you, communication with Japan was lost today, as the Dragon swarms continue their path of devastation. Our hearts are with those fighting against the ever growing horde, as well as those lost forever to these devilish creatures.”

April 11^th 2032

“My fellow citizens, it is with a heavy heart that I report the first Dragon attack on U.S. soil. In mere hours Seattle has been reduced to a mangled blackened ember. May God be with every one of you.”
